- Open VS Code.
- Click on File.
- Then find Preferences -> settings.
- Click on the Text Editor in the left side menu.
- Then Click on Diff Editor.
- Locate the Use Inline View When Space Is Limited Setting.
- Check or Uncheck: If enabled and the editor width is too small, the inline view is used.
