- Open VS Code.
- Click on File.
- Then find Preferences -> settings.
- Click on the Text Editor in the left side menu.
- Locate the Unicode Highlight Ambiguous Characters Setting.
- Check or uncheck: Controls whether characters are highlighted that can be confused with basic ASCII characters, except those that are common in the current user locale.
