- Open VS Code.
- Click on File.
- Then find Preferences -> settings.
- Click on the Text Editor in the left side menu.
- Then Click on Suggestions.
- Locate the Suggest Locality Bonus Setting.
- Check or Uncheck: controls whether sorting favors words that appear close to the cursor.
