- Open VS Code.
- Click on File.
- Then find Preferences -> settings.
- Click on the Text Editor in the left side menu.
- Then Click on Minimap.
- Locate the Render Characters Setting.
- Check or Uncheck: Render the actual characters on a line as opposed to color blocks.
