- Locate ACF in your WordPress Admin sitebar and click on it.
- Then click on Taxonomies.
- Click on add new.
- In plural label set Event Categories.
- In Singular label set Event category.
- Enable the Hierarchical option, this make the taxonomy behave like categories instead of tags.
- In Post types select event.
- Click save changes.
